Grand is committed to operating a secure, compliant onchain financial ecosystem. To meet regional financial licensing requirements and international sanctions obligations, Grand restricts or limits access based on your connection type and geographic location. Understanding these rules before you try to access the app will save you time.

VPN usage policy

Grand blocks access when you connect through a VPN or proxy service. This applies regardless of your actual location.
If you open Grand while connected to a VPN, you will be blocked from entering the app. Disconnect your VPN and restart the application to proceed.
Grand enforces this policy for three reasons:
  • Identity and location accuracy — VPNs mask your real IP address, making it impossible to verify who you are or where you are connecting from.
  • Preventing abuse — Bad actors use VPNs to hide their activity and bypass security controls.
  • Regulatory compliance — Financial licensing requirements in multiple regions require accurate user location data.
This almost always means a VPN or proxy is active on your device.
  1. Disconnect your VPN or proxy service completely.
  2. Close the Grand app fully.
  3. Reopen Grand and try again.
If the problem persists after disconnecting your VPN, contact Grand support.

OFAC sanctioned jurisdictions

Grand adheres to OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions. The platform uses real-time monitoring to identify connections from sanctioned countries or regions. If you are located in an OFAC-sanctioned jurisdiction, you can download and view the app, but your access is limited to read-only mode — you cannot trade or deposit funds.
Read-only mode lets you explore Grand’s interface and monitor markets, but all transactional features are disabled to remain compliant with international sanctions law.

Frequently asked questions

Financial regulations in many regions require platforms to verify the location of their users. VPNs make this verification impossible, so Grand blocks access entirely when a VPN is detected. This protects both you and Grand’s ability to operate legally.
No. Any active VPN or proxy connection will trigger the access block, regardless of your intent. You must fully disconnect before opening Grand.
You can download the app and view it in read-only mode, but trading and deposits are disabled. This is required by international sanctions law and is not a decision Grand can override on an individual basis.
Grand uses real-time IP monitoring to assess your connection origin. VPNs and proxies that alter your apparent location are flagged and blocked automatically.
